Paul Bregazzi – Poet

Paul Bregazzi is a primary school teacher in West Dublin

His poetry has appeared in:

the print journals Crannóg, Revival, The Stony Thursday Book, Skylight 47,

The Stinging Fly, Fields Magazine (Univ of Texas at Austin) and The French Literary Review (France).

Also online with The Ofi Press (Mexico), Shotglass Journal (U.S.),

The Weekenders Magazine (U.S.), Shamrock Haiku Journal 30 and Southword (The Munster Literature Centre)

and is forthcoming in The Italian Insider (Rome). Thema (U.S.) and The Shamrock Haiku Anthology II .

He has read his work at The National Library of Ireland, Culture Night, The Irish Writers’ Centre, RuaRed, Bailieborough Poetry Festival, Dún Laoghaire Fringe Poetry Festival, Lucan Arts Festival and regularly at Soundings for Simon and other fundraisers.

Two of his poems were longlisted for the 2013 Fish poetry competition.

Two of his poems were shortlisted for the 2014 Bridport prize.

He was shortlisted for the South Dublin Red Line Book Festival Poetry

competition 2014 and the Bailieborough Poetry Prize 2014.

He was shortlisted for the RSPB/Rialto Nature Poetry Competition 2014

He was on the shortlist for the Atlanta Review International Poetry Competition 2015

He was commended in the Bailieborough 2015

He has two poems shortlisted for the WOW award 2016

He was selected for Poetry Ireland’s Introduction Series 2015.

He is co-founder with Daragh Bradish of the Dublin Literary group ‘Listeners’.

He was winner of the Cúirt New Writing Award for 2017.
